Guide to RAI Hotels Amsterdam

As an example of excellent urban planning, the RAI Congress Centre can hardly be beaten. The area around this grand conference centre is a self contained hub of commerce and business. If you need a break from the comings and goings, there are several parks nearby and the Ajax Stadium, home of Amsterdam's pride and joy, is not far off.

Getting there and around
The RAI is best accessed by public transport from Amsterdam Centraal or Schiphol. Metros, trams, and buses all run to Station RAI. The area is easily navigable and most signs are in Dutch and English. Though manageable by bike, it is a bit of a trek for anyone unfamiliar with the area.
From Amsterdam Central Station: take the Amstelveen express tram 51 direct to Amsterdam RAI Station (12 minutes). If you are driving, RAI is located right next to the A10 motorway. Come off at Exit S109 (exit S109) for the RAI underground car parks. During shows at RAI, orange signs displaying ‘P RAI’ will direct you to additional parking places. From there a free shuttle bus will bring you to the RAI.

Hotels near RAI
There is no shortage of hotels near RAI catering mostly to business travelers. Though comfortable and easily accessed from the airport, this area is quite removed from the city itself and is not ideal for a sight seeing trip. It is, however, a great deal quieter than the rest of the city at night.

Dining out
For good, international eating head for Europaplein and surrounds. Italian food lovers will be especially happy. Though quite a walk, a trip to explore the dining on the Amstel will likely pay off too.
